What Airport Do You Fly Into to Get to Beaver Creek?

You have 2 airport options: EGE or DIA.

Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE) is located only a 30-minute drive to Beaver Creek. Though this airport option yield less flight options and might be more expensive.

Denver International Airport (DEN) is the more affordable airport with more flight options, but it’s a 2.5 hour drive - which is still not too bad.

How Long is the Drive from Denver to Beaver Creek, Colorado?

By car: With your rental car (which hopefully has winter tires), you can go from the Denver International Airport to Beaver Creek in ~2.5 to 3 hours.

But Do You Really Need a Car in Beaver Creek?

Not really, especially if you’re just going there to ski in the resort.

Even if you decide to stay in the neighbouring town of Avon, there are free bus shuttles to get to and from Beaver Creek.

How to Get to Beaver Creek from Denver International Airport (Without a Car)?

By Peak 1 Express’ shuttle: We didn't want the stress & hassle of driving, so we booked a shuttle with Peak 1 Express.

They had plenty of room for your luggages in the back of the van.

Your ski equipment are placed in a trailer behind the van.

We highly recommend Peak 1 for your Beaver Creek trip, if you’re looking for a shuttle from the Denver International Airport.

Where to Stay in for a Ski Trip in Beaver Creek (On a Budget)?

If you're a beginner skier and snowboard, you’re visiting Beaver Creek for the family-friendly McCoy Park.

This means that you're not thereto indulge, but instead to travel on a budget.

So start by looking for more affordable places to stay at in a nearby town called ‘Avon, Colorado’.

We stayed at a bed-and-breakfast in Avon, but we wouldn't recommend the specific place that we stayed at for certain reasons.

Learn from our mistakes and read, read, READ the comments of previous guests on multiple platforms (Booking.com, Google Maps, or wherever you're booking from).

But for affordable stays, start with Avon.

How Can You Go to Beaver Creek from Avon (With a Free Bus)

Beaver Creek offers free bus shuttles from Avon to Beaver Creek.

During the morning & expected peak times, the Avon bus shuttles runs more frequently.

In the evening, the free bus shuttles are still running but only every hour (?)

Are There Lifts or Gondolas from Avon to Beaver Creek?

Yes, you can go directly from Avon to the Beaver Creek mountain in 2 steps.

First, at the base of the Westin Hotel in Avon, there’s a gondola that will take you to the base of a ski run.

Then, at the base of the run, you have to strap on your gear to ride the ski lift to Beaver Creek.

Is Beaver Creek Good for Beginners (Skiers & Snowboarders)?

Yes, this resort is perfect for beginners & families - particularly the new McCoy Park.

It's the perfect family-friendly ’bowl' for people of all ski & snowboard levels.

Though, it's worth noting that the McCoy Park is located at the top of the mountain, so it requires multiple lifts and traversing some narrow trails to get there.

Is the Beaver Creek Resort Included in the Epic Pass?

Yes it is.

You can simply top up your Epic Pass with a multi-day pass and you can easily hit the slopes at Beaver Creek.

Is the Beaver Creek Village Good for Families?

Very much so! But only for families who can afford a high-end luxury ski trip.

Beaver Creek is super expensive to stay at and to ski at, and that’s why we found a bed-and-breakfast in Avon instead.
